About T. J. Hassall

Hello!

I’m T. J. Hassall, a British author of dark epic fantasy with a background in law and digital art. I first published a fantasy series under a different pen name in 2015.

The Chronicles of Elisar has been with me forever. Two of its characters first came to me when I was twelve, and fragments of the world they belonged to developed over the years. Eventually, those pieces became Elisar: a world of grim magic, political conflict, morally complicated people and god-awful consequences.

My stories are not romance-led. That being said, relationships, intimacy and sex will appear when they belong naturally within the story, but they are never there to replace the plot or become its main purpose.

I’m neurodivergent, creatively erratic and currently accumulating an increasingly impressive collection of medical acronyms. When I’m not writing, I’m either digitally or traditionally drawing, colouring, reading or gaming.
