15th July, Tuesday Tales: An Author Update
I have managed to do a lot more work than I expected this week!

Schedule
With my new schedule in place, I’ve seen a lot more work done than usual! I managed to draw two more maps (and I’m hoping to complete more this week) that are ready for their posts.
That said, I will be sacrificing a couple of days to get content now because I don’t want to post much in the upcoming Mercury retrograde (yes, yes, I believe in it). I have studied astrology since I was eight, and I still can’t break the habit each time it comes around. We usually have a massive life decision happen during each one.
I’ve also been able to learn more about drawing techniques, especially with flora. With the new schedule, I can fit more art time (I really wasn’t happy about removing it). As it stands right now, I work six days a week (Saturday is meant to be my day off, but I end up working anyway), which to me still feels like I’m not getting enough done.
To break it down over those six days, I write for four and do my other job for the other two. One third of each working day is dedicated to something other than writing, like map drawing, lore creation, writing up posts, admin, etc.
Blood of the Banshee
Blood of the Banshee is now at 31.43% of the redraft! I’m hoping to have more chapters complete later this week, though I want to be careful not to rush the ending of his arc.
I’m still mulling over several ideas. This has been the first week with the new schedule, and the cogs are always turning with what to do next.
As a follow-up from last week, I did try to create my characters in Sims, but they came out far too cartoonish for my liking. You’ll just have to wait until I can draw portraits one day!
As ever, thanks for being here with me on this journey🌙
