Sketch Saturday: Dewsormor Bell – Flora Sketch
Sketch Saturday: Dewsormor Bell Flora Sketch
After threatening for weeks to use coloured pencils for my flora sketches, I finally caved and gave it a try. I’m actually quite happy with how it’s turned out in the end!
Dewsormor Bell, also known as Dewsorrow Bell, is a fragile, spiritual bloom tied to grief like most flora in the Lunaaris region in Blood of the Banshee. It’s the very first plant I’ve drawn in colour, and while I don’t have many pencils yet (especially in the green variety), I made do with what I had. I need more practice with leaves and stem shading, I think.
DEWSORMOR BELL
(Pronounced something like “DOO-sor-more”)

The Dewsormor Bell appears where sorrow lingers, often beside forgotten grave markers or abandoned shrines. It’s said to glow softly under starlight and to chime if it senses grief nearby. The petals always hold dew, even in dry air. That said, it could be because they’re mostly found in Lunaaris, which has a lot of fog and mist.
Khautlyth, an abandoned village in the northern part of Lunaaris, is said to have the most of these since its unnatural residents moved there. Other places include Sirysp Grauve, Ebenferon, and the nearby shrine paths. The flower chimes in the wind as well, and the tone is noticeably heavier to mourners.
Final Note
I think this is the first step into colour for my flora entries (as long as I can draw the basics). This was a lot more enjoyable to create and simpler than the Baethirvein I did a couple of weeks back.
Thanks for being here with me on this journey🌱
