A textured deep purple background with black ink splatters and ornate golden corner decorations. In the centre, the text reads: “Weekly Update” in elegant white serif font, with “A #TuesdayTales Update” beneath in gold italic script. Author Update

This is my first post after a short, health-related break. It’s not been a great space for sharing on the internet in the past couple of months, and I definitely think the time away has done me some good. I’ve still been writing and reading, as ever. If you just want updates on Blood of the Banshee, feel free to scroll to that heading below.

We’ve found out why I have blackouts now, which is good because they’re not for a reason as sinister as I thought. We’ve also found why I’m having as many joint pains as I have been, so we’ve been working on getting affordable equipment to reduce the flares. I know some people would’ve already guessed that my diagnosis was Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and Postural tachycardia syndrome (PoTS).

The positives are, though, we do know why the blackouts happen, which isn’t anything sinister like I was worrying about, and we can put things in place for when they happen again.

Also, I understand this is an author page and this is health-related, but I know many others have similar ailments to mine. If I can find something that helps rather than hinders anyone in a similar boat, I will share it.

Blood of the Banshee

In this time that I’ve been away, I’ve been a busy bee. Part One of Book One of Blood of the Banshee is now nearly finished, and I’m thrilled to announce that it will be released on Kindle on the 31st of October. I’ve not yet set up a pre-order because I have cover design and all that jazz to do, but hopefully in next week’s post, I’ll have more news on that.

Aside from the Kindle release, I’m aiming to have it available in paperback, hardback and Audible on the 30th of November. I’ll share more on those as the weeks progress.

My Lunaaris and Sanctaris files are nearly as large as novels themselves, and I’ve had to revisit some lore to correct it. I’m also waiting for the rest of my pencils to arrive so I can continue the botanical works.

Another area I’m treading into (and very carefully, I might add) is that I’m trying to commit to completing portraits. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve started them up and not completed them. The last one was Maggie, which scared the crap out of my husband (I took it as a compliment for the character).

As ever, thanks for being here with me on this journey🌙
